What Not to Sign

Whether or not you intentionally plan to use signing in your storytelling, there are some gestures you could unintentionally make that would change the meaning of what you are saying for those who know sign language. Beyond obvious hand signs that are part of an unspoken language, some signs are similar to ones you might use in a religious setting or a natural resting hands position. The sign for God is similar to the sign for bastard, and a triangle shape has an anatomical meaning. See the video for details.
